Since Twitter is the time trend, many corporations (traders) in the world were somehow forced to take advantage of this trend, because the online environment can not only survive in power, aware of absolutely everything that happens with everything as new market (the aims of Twitter ProfitShare). Examples of spectacular sales, with only the Twitter map, there are many, of these disputed is in the RoTwitter Conference, an event held last week in Bucharest (more here). From pizza to clothing, hardware or software, many of online retailers have found new ways to sell products through Twitter, and here we can draw with ease, a clear conclusion:

While on site are viewed as an excellent trainer of opinion, managed to raise a related community, made up of people that can easily be converted to buyers, the Twitter acts as a newsletter for you, but here the advantage of dialogue and with those who make a recommendation. Whether you are trader or intermediate / affiliate, you can do on Twitter serious recommendations of what you seek, and your sales depend on the influence you have in that environment

A web directory or link directory is a directory on the World Wide Web. It specializes in linking to other web sites and categorizing those links.

A web directory is not a search engine and does not display lists of web pages based on keywords; instead, it lists web sites by category and subcategory. The categorization is usually based on the whole web site rather than one page or a set of keywords, and sites are often limited to inclusion in only a few categories. Web directories often allow site owners to directly submit their site for inclusion, and have editors review submissions for fitness.

RSS directories are similar to web directories, but contain collections of RSS feeds, instead of links to web sites.

Most of the directories are very general in scope and list websites across a wide range of categories, regions and languages. But there are also some niche directories which focus on restricted regions, single languages, or specialist sectors. One type of niche directory with a large number of sites in existence, is the shopping directory for example. Shopping directories specialize in the listing of retail e-commerce sites.

Examples of well known, general, web directories are Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory Project (ODP). ODP is significant due to its extensive categorization and large number of listings and its free availability for use by other directories and search engines.[1]

However, a debate over the quality of directories and databases still continues, as search engines use ODP’s content without real integration, and some experiment using clustering. There have been many attempts to make directory development easier, such as using automated submission of related links by script, or any number of available PHP portals and programs. Recently, social software techniques have spawned new efforts of categorization, with Amazon.com adding tagging to their product pages.

Directories have various features in listing, often depend upon the price paid for inclusion:

* Free submission – there is no charge for the review and listing of the site
* Reciprocal link – a link back to the directory must be added somewhere on the submitted site in order to get listed in the directory
* Paid submission – a one-time or recurring fee is charged for reviewing/listing the submitted link
* No follow – there is a rel=”nofollow” attribute associated with the link, meaning search engines will give no weight to the link.
* Featured listing – the link is given a premium position in a category (or multiple categories) or other sections of the directory, such as the homepage
* Bid for position – where sites are ordered based on bids
* Affiliate links – where the directory earns commission for referred customers from the listed websites

Some webmasters nowdays create web directories for different reasons, one of the fast growing web directory is SomeInfos Web Directory where you can Submit URL on there website and enjoy many features they provide.

Deep linking – Concepts and Practice
Those links on a site that directs visitors to an internal page (or article) from another site (except homepage), are called deep links. In the case of affiliations, a deep link is extremely useful because it allows the owner of the site to recommend a product / service from a trader online, such exemption visitor browsing through the site operator and sending it directly to the page product / service. Unfortunately, being familiar with banners, we sent in 90% of cases, the homepage, the most used tools in the Romanian affiliations seem to be exactly banners.
It is wrong to use banners with affiliate link, but this way we can lose the opportunity to establish a relationship between the text of a page and site/product recommended, this is a very important aspect in the affiliate marketing. Details below this statement.
The links can be more powerful
From my point of view, a deep link correctly positioned within the text of a page, can be more effective than a banner image placed on top of a site (this being the most common position for banners). I refer to the number of clicks, but the number of sales. In other words, this rule does not apply only to programs CPA / CPS, because if CPC, the main aim is to obtain clicks.

Responsibility of conversion in the affiliation systems

One of the greatest dilemmas in a system of affiliation CPA / CPS, is related to who is responsible for converting a visitor into buyer. On the Internet there are numerous articles on the subject, but can not reach a conclusion universally valid, because there are very many factors that can influence the decision of a visitor.

In many cases, the entire blame for the failure of a conversion is attributed to the operator, and the reasons are the order of tens. High prices, no promotions, technical support defective, too small commissions, etc.. From my point of view, the problem is somewhere in the middle, because as I am aware that the prices online to comply with a national average high or visitors sites involved in the affiliations are not on a particular area. In other words, the owner of the site without recess, his luck trying to sell different products and this is likely not to make too much income notable.

Responsibility of the owner of the site

I noticed that the more affiliates, trying to offer the visitor all the details necessary for promoted products, and here we have a little problem, because porpouse is to generate interest to the visitor, it does not completely decide on the product. As owner of the site, you are sending visitors to the online merchant. You do not sell products directly(affiliation system), so do not make sense to provide all information related to them. If you think the price is attractive, the site put a picture of the product and price. If you think the product would arouse interest, put a picture and description, but without the price.
That responsibility is shared between the conversion of merchant and affiliate. So can obtain at least satisfactory.

System involves three participants affiliations. Merchant, the owner and site visitor. When one of them disappears from the equation, disappears and the affiliations. The visitor has a responsibility too great, but the other two have to realize that dividing powers is the only method that can increase the number of transactions.

Returning, affiliate is to maintain the brand promoted, just as a sales agent do his utmost to prove the seriousness of the company who arranges for sales, dealer and must ensure that all tools necessary, so that together form a single brand . You can not victimize visitors how to do very often in the PPC. Instead, you need to convince them to buy, and this involves some communication skills and a good marketing strategy.
When these conditions are met, and still not increase sales, you can cry to the dealer. Until then, however, be sure you do everything possible to work.
